Think I'm really done this time with blogging

While nothing shocks me anymore, I find it overwhelmingly depressing. I believe in the sanctity of human life and protecting it. It seems like I'm in the small minority.

Watching "Better Off Ted" over "In the Motherhood"

I don't watch a lot of television, but I do watch the show Lost so I'm bound to catch a show that is on before it. One being "Better Off Ted", the premise doesn't really appeal to me, but rather my husband which is an executive in a large research and development globalized company. The comedy features Portia De Rossi, the actress, as Ted's boss. De Rossi is also known as Ellen Degeneres legal wife, who married for the brief period California had gay marriage.

Over at the Creative Minority Report, I commented over a cynical statement in a video spoof by both De Rossi and Degeneres. I mentioned I just rather not watch television, but I do. I've seen two episodes of "Better Off Ted", while it isn't wholesome family viewing, it does show some semblance of dealing with sensitive issue in a comedy setting.

For instance, the main character Ted, who was abandoned by his wife is a single dad. In the initial episode he is having an office affair with his boss (De Rossi), yet earns for a relationship with another co-worker. In the next episode they introduce his daughter, and while the details are of a mature detailing of sexual relationships in the office it shows clear consequences how adult relationships do HAVE an affect on children. By the way it does help that De Rossi has mega talent.

I've never been a fan of blacklisting, while I do find the video spoof to be condescending to the arguments for the man/woman definition of marriage, I find the enjoyable irony in the second episode of Better Off Ted, of a daughter's grief of losing her mother to a selfish pursuit and a father protecting her from more pain.

That being said I saw the promos for "In the Motherhood", being a mother of four small children I assumed it was marketed towards my demographic. I find the premise of the characters to be nothing like myself, and behavior that endangered small children and saw mothering as some sort of status symbol in affluent suburbia. Also I was not amused of a newly divorced mother of an infant child talk about having sex on the third date. The show had nothing to do with the trials parenting, simply the child's needs were peripheral, while the women whined about themselves.

Parameters in Blogging Living Online

I was reviewing the comment section over the past three plus years on my blog. My removal of the comment section, was because I can't debate the world. That's right I don't want to debate. Why? Because it's time consuming. Most all blogs have moderation approval, and those like the Raving Theist, former atheist will pretty much allow anything go in their blogs but won't comment themselves.

Even while I was on Opine, which was open to all comments, I felt drained with the need to obligate a comment with a response. When I just had two children I found myself driven to respond to everything and anything and my dirty dishes are more important then responding to an anonymous insult, but my obligation to my family is more important then an immediate response to relevant questions too.

What I found to be more interesting were Internet Personas, persons who had a name and profile, but non-identifiable in real life good and bad. I believe most anonymous persons, were sometimes seldom posters on blogger who didn't have the time to blog or post, so never created an account. Others may of had identifiable elements in their profile, so if they wanted to post something 'uncharitable' a quick and easy anonymous post to get my goat was there.

The email option through my profile has worked best. Just recently someone wanted to update an editorial that I cited from three years ago, and knowing that via email worked best.

We all have an opinion, how we handle our thoughts and emotions are important though.

Jesus Wasn’t Always Nice
BY BISHOP THOMAS J. TOBIN

Jesus wasn’t always nice. I had to remember that in responding to some letters I received from readers who were disappointed by my recent article, My Interview with President Obama. Some folks didn’t like the rhetorical device I employed, namely the fictional interview I composed. Others felt that I was too hard on the President when I criticized him for using tax dollars to fund abortion overseas. They said that I was not being charitable as Jesus would have been....
I do find it intriguing, though, that the critics of the Obama column were more offended by my writing than the fact that the President is using their tax dollars to destroy unborn children. (And now to engage in the destruction of human embryos in stem cell research.) But it still seems to me that if the President’s anti-life actions don’t stir up moral outrage in you, nothing will; if they don’t offend your conscience, you need a conscience transplant, my friend.

Recent local article of the musical director at Dracut High.
How does Grande top the success of last year's Les Miserables?
"We have to talk about Les Mis in a separate breath from everything else we've done just because of what it is -- an amazing piece of art," he says. "South Pacific is both easier and harder. Musically, it's not half as demanding as Les Mis, but all shows are demanding if you want the same level of intensity and excellence. It's difficult in the sense that you have to guard against a letdown from last year."

Grande always tries to pick a show that cannot be easily compared to the previous year's production. Dracut High Supervisor of Fine and Performing Arts Leon Grande conducts during a rehearsal of South Pacific. Each production stands on its own merits, he says.
"For instance, this year's show takes place mainly on two islands. Most of it takes place on the beach and visually, the costumes play an important role," he says. "Beautiful sarongs worn by the natives and the French girls and the military uniforms worn by the guys will fill the stage and enhance the entire production

Deval Patrick three years later

Dracut Musings spoke of Deval Patrick, I saw him speak early in January 2006 at the beginning of the Gubernatorial race and was very impress, as in this blog post, only to find out the two key issues to society, the right to life and recognition that a man and woman are obligated to the well being of their children as one family unit in the key stone to society by some names concept, if not by the word marriage, we have differing view on. I’ve always wanted to give Democrats a chance, always, only to be disappointed regarding abortion and family breakdown.

As mentioned previously Democrats sold their soul. On the other hand Republicans, as many have observed don’t know who they are either. I’m still a big fan of John McCain, Sarah Palin, and Bobby Jidal, yet the Republican label carries a diverse and sometimes contradictory bunch.

The Lowell Sun also speaks of Deval’s disappointment

I'm labeling this as a part of "Election 06"
